Dear AMBC Members and Friends,

Welcome to 2021!

2020 was an extraordinary year which most of us would like to put behind us. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us all. We hope that 2021 is a better year for all and that we collectively stay fit and well.

New Members

2021 Events
All our planned events for the coming year will be subject to COVID-19 restrictions as they may apply.

The AMBC Victoria Board has planned a number of events throughout 2021 including:

February
Thursday 18/2: 2021 launch at Tian38 Restaurant which is free to members and $40 for non-members. I am pleased to advise that this event is now fully subscribed.

Date TBC: Virtual Malaysia Business Update with Leigh Howard, Victorian Government’s Deputy Commissioner to South East Asia and based in Kuala Lumpur who will be providing us with an update on the business and economic conditions in Malaysia.

March
Thursday 25/3: Temple Brewery Networking Evening – details will be forwarded shortly.

Date TBC: Virtual Speed Networking Event.

April
Date TBC: Pre-franchising Seminar – Part 1. This seminar will provide guidance on how to enter a franchise agreement and the regulations that are relevant to franchising.

May
Date TBC: A general networking event.

June/July
Date TBC: City of Monash Property Seminar

August
Date TBC: AGM and AGM Networking drinks

September
Thursday 9/9: Malaysia Day Dinner

Other events may occur throughout the year including potential missions (virtual or otherwise) from Malaysia and virtual seminars from our colleagues at the Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC) and AMBC NSW/ACT.

Membership Renewals
For people wishing to join AMBC Victoria, please refer to our website at www.ambcvic.melbourne for details. We are a very proactive Business Council and being a member will give you access to our events and seminars and the opportunity to meet with like-minded people.

For those who are yet to renew your memberships, we encourage you to do so, so that we can continue to bring you a broad range of events and seminars as well as provide you with the assistance that you require when engaged with business and investment between Victoria and Malaysia.
