Our speaker for this second event is Captain Mona Shindy CSC, retired naval officer. Captain Shindy is a trailblazer in male dominated environments and the fact that she is a child of Egyptian migrants, female and muslim while serving on active duty with the Royal Australian Navy will resonate with many of our female members.

Captain Shindy’s story of forging new paths, courage, resilience, and grit is one which should be heard and again, we offer the opportunity for our members to deep dive in Q&A to ask the questions which go to the heart of a dutiful daughter, a woman of faith, wife and mother in one of the toughest environments imaginable.

Our event is scheduled for late afternoon to include a sumptuous high tea featuring both Australian and Malaysian teatime favourites.
